Roadblock to I-80 tolls in U.S. bill is lifted

The movement to toll I-80 continues to move forward. A joint U.S. House and Senate committee have stricken the language in proposed legislation that stated that "no federal funding" would be used in tolling I-80. While this is a good measure, in actuality no federal funding was ever planned to be used in tolling I-80.

The money that will be used will come from the Pennsylvania Turnpike Tolls which are generated by the driving public who use the turnpike. To read the full article on the language being stricken click here...
