GVF Recognized with Two Prestigious Awards

The Association of Commuter Transportation's TMA of the Year Award and the

Main Line Chamber of Commerce Small Business of the Year Award.

The Association of Commuter Transportation's TMA of the Year Award is given to a Transportation Management Association (TMA) located in the United States, Canada or Europe that is judged to have best used its public/private partnerships to achieve local or regional transportation goals.


ACT specifically recognized GVF’s work and dedication to its coalitions. GVF manages four local coalitions:

• PA 309 Corridor Coalition

• Schuylkill Valley Transportation Coalition

• Southeastern Montgomery County Transportation Coalition (SMTC)

• US Route 422 Corridor Coalition

Each coalition, which is based on its geographical locations, offers a forum in which the business community, municipal, county and state officials can cooperatively address and seek a resolution of traffic-related problems affecting the specific area. By enhancing mobility and safety, through the reduction of congestion and pollution, GVF’s coalitions help to promote the area's orderly growth, sustain its quality of life, and ensure its continued economic vitality.

GVF was also recognized by the Main Line Chamber of Commerce for its dedication to transportation issues in the region. Most notably, GVF was selected for the award in part for:

• Securing $25 million to the U.S. Route 422 River Crossing Complex project.
• Establishing Bike Pottstown, the first community free bike sharing program in this region, which is still in existence.
• Participating on the Paoli Task Force; facilitating the improvements on Route 202; GVF’s 422 Corridor and SVT Coalitions; GVF’s Climate Change Task Force; Ardmore Train Station and its advocacy work in Washington, D.C.
